The open source project I spoke briefly about is called SIMPL. The main project site is at:
http://users.netrover.com/~ican/simpl
From that site you can link through to the Sourceforge site for SIMPL as well. Looks like I've volunteered to give a talk on the SIMPL open source project in the May meeting.
I also spoke about my nofee online courses. You can find more info at:

The network appliance which was discussed is produced by a local Kitchener company. Their URL is:
We had a great turn out at out last meeting, an open round table about issues we are having some. different project discussion, a few new users to Linux also came out.
Since this is only our second meeting we talked what should we do about presentations, March I've suggest that we each bring a Linux application or tool that we use and can't live without. So it's open for you to make a short presentation about some tools that you use in your favourite operating system.
This will be the Founders Meeting for Cambridge LUG. We will discuss our plans for future Cambridge LUG meetings. We'll outline the presentation schedule for the next few months.
Doors will open at: 18:00, meet and greet.
Meeting will start at: 19:00
There will be an informal and fun roundtable discussion of all things Linux.
Location: Our usual spot.
You should attend this meeting if:
- you are interested in Linux and in having a Linux User Group in Cambridge.
- you are a Linux professional.
- you are a Linux beginner.
- anywhere in between.
The first, organizational, meeting of the Cambridge Linux User Group was a great success. Here are the highlights for those of you who were unable to attend in person.
Seven members were in attendance to contribute to the discussion.
Our host, Gary, has provided a wonderful, comfortable, meeting location for us.
Meeting dates will be the third Monday of each month to complement the existing first Monday meetings of KWLUG.
